Big Brothers/Big Sisters provides one-to-one mentoring with child-safe adults matched and monitored with children aged 6 to 16 in Ontario, Wayne,Yates (and more) counties. The goal is to monitor and improve developmental assets to help children make health choices in lifestyle, education and relationships. Parents may contact the office by phone or mail, or contact a school counselor for referral.

Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Funding Sources: Private gifts, grants, and special events. The primary source of support is the United Way.

Fees Charged: Fees or payment methods - free of charge to any family and child interested. Free of charge to any volunteer interested.

24 Hour Service: 24-hour response is available.

Eligibility for services - all youth age 6-16 are eligible. It is a volunteer program - if both child and caregiver are interested - they qualify.
