A voluntary alternative to the traditional criminal justice system for youth who have committed certain violations or misdemeanors. Intervention in early anti-social or delinquent activities, reduce the incidence and teach new behaviors and coping skills. Youth volunteers receive education regarding the judicial process and reinforce accountability to society through imposing community service and educational sentencing on their peers. Volunteers are civically engaged and learn they are valued in their community. They also learn leadership skills, conflict resolution, mediation, public speaking and other skills that will last a lifetime.
Hours: Mon-Fri. 8:30-4:00, some evenings
